Dr. Paul Hallett，英国阿伯丁大学（University of Aberdeen）土壤学教授，土壤物理学家，主要研究根系、微生物和土壤的物理交互作用。2011-2013，Theme Leader (Grade G), Delivering Sustainable Production Systems, The James Hutton Institute。2008-2011，Head of Plant-Soil Interface Group and Deputy Head of Environment Plant Interactions Programme (Grade F), Scottish Crop Research Institute(SCRI)。2006-2010曾担任国际土壤联合会土壤物理专业委员会主席（Chair，Division 2.1 (Soil Physics), International Union of Soil Science），英国土壤学会理事，European Journal of Soil Science和Vadose Zone Journal副主编，Pedosphere编委等。另外还是European Journal of Soil Science, Soil Science Society of America Journal, Soil Science, Soil & Tillage Research, Water Resources Research, Journal of Hydrology, FEMS Microbiology, Trees, Plant and Soil, Contaminant Hydrology, Vadose Zone Journal, Powder Technology, Computer Applications in Geotechnical Engineering, Journal of Geophysical Research, Ecoengineering, Australian Journal of Soil Research, Canadian Journal of Soil Science, Australian Journal of Soil Research, International Journal of Turfgrass Research, Ecohydrology, Soil Use and Management, Geoderma, Nature 和 Science等期刊的审稿专家。
